Pripps Sugar Bush Pure Granulated Maple Sugar is made from the finest Grade A pure maple syrup. You will find it is the best granulated maple sugar available (First Place Winner at the 2006 North American Institute and the International Maple Syrup Institute Convention). Never heard of it you say? Maple sugar has been around long before the discovery of the new world. The native North American Indians were found to be making sugar when the first explorers started tromping around this great continent.

Why granulated maple sugar? A good question. The Indians couldn’t keep the syrup without it spoiling so they would cook it right down to sugar. They would flavor their wild meats and berries with the hand stirred maple sugar or just eat it outright as a treat. Besides, pancakes and waffles weren’t even invented yet, so what would they do with all that syrup?

Which brings us to our “Maple Meat Rub on Country Ribs” recipe in our recipe section. These have got to be the best tasting mouth watering ribs you’ll ever sink your teeth into. Imagine the scent of caramelized maple sugar and aroma of cooked spices and meat rising up as you grill these tasty morsels. Maple Meat Rub on Country Ribs
Granny Smith apples with maple sugar The granulated maple sugar has a very unique flavor. Not too sweet and not too mapley. Consider dipping fresh cut Granny Smith apples into maple sugar. The unique blend of tart and sweet are irresistible to kids as well as adults and are great served as hors d`oeuvres at your next party or pot luck, pitch-in or whatever your region calls it when everyone brings a dish.
Our maple sugar is made in the traditional fashion, as maple sugar has been made for centuries, by continually boiling and stirring maple syrup until it turns to sugar. We add no preservatives, coloring, flavoring or other sweeteners. It still contains calcium, potassium, iron and other micronutrients found in maple syrup.
